Hey can someone tell me why people buy Toyota's to wheel then decide to swap in an entire Chevy drivetrain just to hold up to hard wheeling. They should have bought a Chevy to start with.

I have a couple of Toyotas, and I love them to death. I also have been on a couple of trips where the only trucks able to drive out were the yotas. But I am not about to go into the Chevy forum, and start badmouthing Chevys, or any type of vehicle for that matter. It's just dumb.

Think about what you're posting, and please, don't give the rest of us "newbies" and even worse reputation.

This is stupid to even reply to but I've done stupid stuff all my life.
I love chevy and yotas, as a matter of fact My toy truck has chevy engine trans and t-case.

I've pulled out toys , chevys, jeep and a slew of others none of which was the fault of the brand but of driving skill. ( I've even been pulled out befor but don't tell any one) :usa:

I can not believe I have even tried to respond to such a lame post what I ment to say was :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

First of all, I know a ton of toyotas with no chevy parts. Second I'm not bashing Chevy's, I own a 53 GMC. And lastly, the whole newbie thing is a joke. Why you ask, well it has nothing to do with driving skills, or how tricked you truck is, or even how long you've been wheeling, just how long you've been on this site. To top is off, for twenty bucks a year you can be whatever you want. Now that's your rating is a joke.

Some of us are taller than 5ft 4. FAWKIN NEWBIE:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Now go buy a Chevy motor so you don't have to drive first gear at 5,000 rpm. You see I have plenty of fiends with Yota's and other than the FJ's the only way they get any where with the 22r is foot to the floor in first. It's fun as hell to ride in when I'm not driving because I'm not cracking my knees on the steering colum.

what is this about a toy pulling out a chevy? im a die hard toyota fan, im only in here to check out chevy stuff cause i like them too, but ive tried pulling out a chevy before, it took me and two othe yota friends daisy chained together to pull him out, and hes pulled me out of similar situations without so much as the spinning of a tire, so dont come in somewhere and be jackass especailly when youre new here. would you walk into a strangers garage and say that about his chevy? probably not because hed tell you to back it up, and i know for a fact that there are plenty of chevy's that could put me in my place, and i get it pretty good. look at ronnie, he does pretty damn good in his chevy, last time i was out wheeling with him and he was following me everywhere with OPEN DIFFS.

Hey, I'm a newbie but one that knows there are many great 4X vehicles...........a Toyota I can't drive cause I can't fit in the claustrophobic gawdamn things, and hate getting shin splints from pushing the gas pedal so hard trying to get the damn thing moving..........I'm 6'4" and even a standard bed Chevy pickup is hard on the long legs.

You know the drill...........if you had any real world experience you wouldn't come in here starting a brand war. Now get back in your home ec class, high school boy..............oh, and :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

You dont have the right yet to call anyone a newbie, Mr. November, 2001!

And by the way, the last 3/4 ton I saw on the trail had a tcase split in two. Nothing like an aluminum POS, pulling 6 thousand pounds through the rocks.

biggest thing i ever pulled out was a F350 longbed dually. It was stuck up to the frame rails out in Pismo. poor thing was flexing under the load it had in the bed alone. Took me a few pulls but i got it. I also saw a Z71 pull out a small motorhome:eek: seeing the wheel spin as he sawed the wheel as insane. he almost buried himself!

I just gotta reply.
I own both as you can see from my post, and I like both of them. They do however have their strengths and weaknesses. I will not go into details now though. My family lived in Arroyo Grande for 9 years, (3 miles from pismo dunes) and my father pulled a 35 foot motorhome duelly that was sunk up to his axles out on the beach out with a STOCK '82 Toyota and 31 inch tires. This is not a BS story, he just aired way down, aired the motorhome down, and hooked a tow strap up and put it in low range and gently pulled the big guy out.
This being said, I have gotten my blazer stuck in the snow to the point where my Toyota would not even budge it. And my Blazer can always yank my toyota out, (even though it never needs it).
Michael.

Hey WTF! is another yoda driver doing in the chevy section?

Because I like the chevy donor parts that are on my toy. Wait, don't start gloting yet, I just stole the 63" springs, ok and maybe a 4.3L vortec in the future cause 22REs are gutless.

One thing chevy does not have on toys is the width, I can squeeze through shit you guys have to drive around or bash through.

But it's all good, I have jeep and ford part on my truck too :flipoff2:

EDIT: hey I just noticed hardly any of you chevy guys have stars, is that because your to broke from fixing your shit all the time?
