unimogken 06-23-2003, 01:54 PM Hey thats cool. I'm in no hurry (i'm a Mog owner..hehe).
Can I have your cab?...
Just kiddin. :D
Later.
Ken S.
My cab is NOT for sale and I NEVER going to sell this MOG
Its just the most amasing Offroad machine.
And i will Promise you that this is not my last mog......
I will buy that many as I have money to :)
gunracer1 06-23-2003, 02:42 PM looks like it need some more welding before it is done. mike
coachgeo 06-23-2003, 04:33 PM So that's what the back of the cab is suppose to look like.... Mine is all cut out by the previous owner.
Will be interesting to see how your ROP does when flexing. (ROP--->MB's name --> Roll Over Protection AKA= roll bar) Granted your not that heavy (no radio box) so your frame flex is minimal compared to a beast like mine that is heavy.
I love my hardcab too. It neads major restoration though.
coachgeo 06-23-2003, 04:35 PM I just noticed. Your windshield is different than mine. Mines a 1964 hardcab. Titles as 62 but the PO says its a 64.
My Mog is from 1960 i dont know if that have something to say?
Here are the mid mounting points

Box Rocket 07-07-2003, 05:52 PM I think I would at least do something like this. There seem to be several weak point that are likely to collapse in the event of a rollover. What you have makes a nice brush guard though.:D
Seriously, great looking mog!
I`ve done some changes to the rollcage.
I will take som pics tomorrow and post them here!!

Adam, I don't think two of those can be used. Probably the ones you feel are most critical. The two from the bumper corners up wont work.
The 404 Mogs frame flex, will pose a problem. Those two braces will try to hold the Mog's frame solid and will probably end up breaking the whole thing to bits over time as he wheels it. Granted his frame wont flex as much as mine unless he puts nearly a ton in his cargo bed. (Radio box's like mine weigh a ton)
mogadillo 07-07-2003, 07:38 PM That is a beautiful truck, please ship the hard cab to me instead of Unimogen! LOL! Where is that rock wall at, your home, beautiful! I think the rollbar is connected to the cab and the back brace is for the bed? Looks nice, I have none and a 404 and wonder about a blowout and no seat belts! Very nice mog, do you have any pics of it on trail or of yourself? How many guys have Kool trucks like this one over there? Keep up the good work, weld extra, I like the bolt to the frame instead of welding it up and butchering it! More pictures, I have to look at my rusty 404 and dream now, bye i am going to look at my new cab and invision it on my 404! remember if you ship it to me a free boar hunt with hounds! LL!

here is one solution that would drive you nuts Adam. I too wonder about the roll over characteristics of the designs come up with to handle frame flex andddddddd a rollover

How do they race, stock, mod full race, time etc, wonder what the equivlent race would be to us over here, is this like desert racing or something, do they run against a clock or penalty points? Wish we could email that guy and ask hin for a shot of how the back of his roll cage is built! recon this is a turned up turbo 366 oor something? Thanks for pic!

These pics are from the web site that was suggested to go see here in this forum. (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=157717) It was the europen version of mud bog/rockcrawl/rally driving. I love how they do it over there and would LOVE to do that here in the US. I dont know the point system. I do think its Time thru the course though.
unimogken 07-09-2003, 08:51 AM Dang that is a huge ass rollcage on that truck in the last pic above!!!
Later.
