I know I heard this a million times but I just can't remember which d 60 is better for the front axle, the full floating 30 or 35 spline????

You can always add the 35 spline outers. They are the part numbers for a D70 I believe.

35 spline is stronger. But, 30 spline axles are quite strong too. Mine haven't broken after several years of wheelin'. All front Dana axles are full floating by the way. It's the rears that can go either way - full or semi floating that is. :cool2:

A stock, open knuckle GM 60 has 35 @ the carrier & 30 @ the
hub. You can get D70 stubs from any Spicer dealer PN 3-82-871.
You can run 35 spline lockouts from Warn or drive flanges from
many vendors. I've seen both the stubs & drive flanges for sale
here in the for sale section on this BB. :p

could you please expand on your point there?
I am guessing you are refering to the unitbearing style
your excessively wordy response has me at a loss and i cant read it all in one sitting
when i try and find where i left off i forget some of the points near the first paragraph

Yes. Gotta make this quick (somebody needs pluter). Newer unit bearing style are semi-float. Suspect old ones (late 70s) too, not positive.
