1. Buy adaptor, I do not know if AA makes one
2. Sell 5.0 and get a 350, sell th350 and get a SB C6

Why's everyone got such a boner over the C6? There is no way in hell I'd run one over a C4. It's bigger, heavier, harder to fit in tranny tunnels.. and has nowhere near the aftermarket.

I don't want to hear crap about C6's are stronger either.. what do you think 8 and 9 second Mustangs are running (if it's not a powerglide)? There has got to be 10X the aftermarket for the C4.. including everything you'll need to keep it alive behind any small block you can put in your rig.

And just to answer your question.. I know of several guys running powerglides behind their Windsors.. should be the same bolt pattern as the TH350.. if you don't find your answer soon, start hitting up some Mustang sites.. or buy a C4 : )

the cheapest way to marry a tranny to a engine is use a tranny that was designed to go behind that engine other then that it starts to cost money to put a th350 behind a 5.0 you will need a adapter between the engine and tranny i
f you are good at fabricating the you could make it yourself basicly it just a 1/4 in plate steel cut into a U shape with enough material to cover both the pattern on the engine and pattern on the tranny
holes drilled to fit the engine pattern and holes drilled and tapped to match the tranny pattern just make sure the tranny shaft and the engine crank are lined up really good or you will have problems good luck and have a good one

Yep bigger, heavier and can take more abuse in a larger rig than a C4. No it does not have any aftermarket support, none needed. It is a 3/4 ton tranny that happened to be used in some 1/2 ton apps. In a buggy no in a full size 6000 lb, yes. Depends on the application.

E40D's are the devil. ZF is da way to go

aa does make the adapter for the gm auto to the ford motor and its around $400.

Another strong point about the c4 in the c4/c6 debate is the motor with the c4 will put more power to the wheels than the c6. :)

Yeah, theres a E4OD in the full size bronco I'm wanting to buy. Kinda borrowing it from a friend.. till I got the bling to buy it. Crawled under it a few times looking around, that thing is fawking huge. I'm dreading the day I have to pull that thing :)

And Fuelin is right BTW.. less parasitic loss in a C4 than a C6.. but hey... if you are dead set on a C6...

There is plenty of aftermarket for the C6, ever been to summit? but they do suck more hp to run though. my truck loses 130hp between the flexplate and the tires thru a C6 208 and sterling 10.25. Just some more useless info someone may find handy

Im more thinking about angle. Everything that Ive seen in action, the th350 will keep pulling at more extreme angles than a c4.

I'd be interested in more specifics on this as I have never heard anything about it:confused:
The c4's out of the EB's have a slick deep pan that should alleviate any problems occuring on angles. B&M just came out with a new deep pan for the pan fill trannys as well. I could see problems possibly with the car versions but the 4x4 c4 seems well set up to me for hill climbs.
