Mmmmmmmm... Price war... http://www.cyberweld.com used to be cheaper. Their price for the Miller 175, with cart and free shipping is $655. Welders-direct price is the best I've seen for this unit... :D:D:D:D

WOW! Good price on that. It's the cheaper Miller cart but still a darn good price. I just bought a Hobart Handler 175 with the better car for $599 but had to pay tax. They are almost the same machines but the Miller does have a better wire feed (made out of metal where the Hobart is cast plastic) The Miller drive will bolt right into the Hobart.
I'd jump all over that deal.

The Miller has a variable amperage control where as the Hobart has I think 4 settings maybe 5.
Does anyone wish they would of spent a little more and got the miller 210. It comes with a free spool gun. I'm in need of a new welder, my Century 130 is slowly dying. This time I'm defenitly getting a 220V mig.

To be honest..

I like the portablitly of mine.. The 210 is nice and I probably would have bought it if I could have afforded it. But the 175 is equally as nice and I have yet to run into anything I cant weld with it.. Besides IF I do I can always stick weld it..

Both are really nice units, the 175 is just a little bit more compact and easy to transport when your buddies want to use it that ahve 110 units that dont quite pack teh punch needed for the project..

The Spoolmate 3035 is nice, but for the amount of use I do... not worth the $400+

PS I ordered the welder at 11am yesterday, and it came up OVERNIGHT from NJ... They said it would be delivered around 8:30am today... hay that is right now!!

Does the $635 include your gas tank and regulator etc? or just the welder and cart.

Just the welder, cart, regulator and hose, misc tips and a 5lb spool of wire.. Tank is seperate.

when going a tank get the biggest one you can, Mine is .125 its a bitch to move but I have gone through 20lbs + of wire and havent had to fill it yet..

I thought the Miller 175 was 220volt. My Handler 175 is 220v.
THought the Miller 110v was the 135 model?
I've used the Lincoln 110's. Not enough HP for me. That's why I went for the 220v. I can lay down a 1/2 inch wide bead in a single pass no problem.

It will come with the regulator but tanks you have to get local. ALWAYS GET THE BIGGEST TANK YOU CAN. little tanks run out quick. It is also not much more expensive to fill the bigger tank.
The smaller tank was costing me $17 to refill. My bigger tank that is over twice the capacity costs $25. It set me back $150 bones for the big tank but you go through gas a lot faster than you would think.

Actually, its the bigger of the two Miller carts (picture is wrong). Check the part # on Welder-direct page and compare to miller's
