Thankfully, those snipes aren't nearly as large, that could be dangerous.
Hell yeah, you can see the size of the turkey in my avatar. I HAD to take him out, he came at me with his dogs. :D

Dogs are endurance machines, that's how they hunt in the wild.
They cut out a weak one and run it till it stops and then bring it down.
I'm not opposing the original thread, I'm for most types of hunting wether I do it or not. I'm simply replying to your statement.
Never seen it happen in 28 years. I grew up in eastern CO and was witness to many chases between deer and our dogs. I would chase after them on a horse and could not keep up with the deer, after two hard miles the dogs gave up, and the deer split. So like I said...Never seen it happen. Keep in mind...this is on relativly flat ground and chasing Mulies that can clear a 6' fence without trying.
And I dont think that dogs should be used to hunt and kill deer, in fact its straight out illegal in CO and many other States.

I know they can climb:flipoff2: I just dont get the statement, that deer dont have "a fightin chance" Ever seen the vid when the guy gets boxed 1930's style by the white tail...? Tell me that a deer cant defend its self. The picture atthe begining of the link is missleading. I think that the deer was shot and then tracked, and the dogs attacked it. How else would you get a picture like that? Unless its fake.

Fuckin a peter!!!! i hate that movie...
a bullet brakes the speed of sound and a dog no matter how hard it trys cant so i have to agree in saying that a deer has a much better chance of getting away from a dog than a gun...
well at least when im the one with the gun...:flipoff2:
