transmission/transfercase ?????
I have an 82 chevota and my TH350 blew out a few days ago and looking for a new tranny and new transfercase. I have a Chevy V6 4.3. What will work the best and or fit. Thanks Rob

Almost anything Chevy will fit if it was behind a V8 or V6, even a straight 6 in fact. TH350, TH400, SM465, SM420, 700R4. Of course you'll need the right transfer case adapter for your Toy case, or use a Chevy case and modify the driveshafts instead.

Go witha TH350 again and you don't have to modify anything.:)

But, if you swap for the 700R4 you get a lower first gear and overdrive. doesn't that just suck? The 700R4 is also a direct bolt on to the 4.3
