In a mid 90's Bronco:
It has a 8.8" rear, does it have 31 spline shafts?
What transfer case does it have if it is floor shift?
What size tires fit without a lift?
Is there a cheap disc brake coversion for the 8.8 (explorer?)
What is a good sounding/performing exhaust?


I am new to the V8 scene, so this is a general knowledge question. If a V8 is TBI, which is similar to a carbureator in appearence, can the intake manifold be replaced by a high performance one (Edelbrock Air Gap), and the TBI still bolt into place?

33 will fit with no lift, but expect rubbing.
cheapest disc brake conversion is like 250 or something around that.
i dont know much about exhaust. I never really cared.

Yes its a BW 1356 TC could be floor shift, cound be button, all depends on the options
Exhaust, thats bacily what ever wets your wistle, a lot of guys @ www.mybigbronco.com will have option on those

wt: Manual tranny was stock up through at least '95, and maybe '96 with OBD-II.

Exploder is wrong bolt pattern, as are 97+ pickups. Kits are available for about what you would pay for a complete (backing plates and all) brake job, tho...

Xfer is the BW13-56

33 *barely* fit on 92-96 trucks, better on earlier trucks. Expect to have to cut or shim the bumper to get them to fit. Also opt for 8" wheels if you decide to buy.

$18 glasspack and $20 parts house tailpipe is the best way to go. Seen too many :crybaby2: rip off $300 Borla exhausts on the ground. All they do is make the truck louder, anyway. :D :D

Ehh its a CA thing, some time in the late 80's Ca said no more Sticks and no more I6's, wierd rules
