Will a brake booster from an '85 mini directly swap into a '72 FJ40? The '40 has power brakes now (w/ a later FJ40 booster that is shot). Had an extra mini booster laying around and was hoping it will bolt right in. Thanks!

Yes it is a bolt on.If you go to the parts store a new LC booster is like $300 the mini is $110.I use the mini booster on all my v8 trucks (it is smaller than later LC boosters). Hope that helps.

Yup, that is a big help, thanks a lot. Mounted it up and the pushrod (threaded portion) was a little too long. Once trimmed, it fit great, but now the brake lights are on all of the time. I'm sure this is just a simple adjustment of the brake light switch.

Thanks for the info!

Yes it will. That is what I said above (later model LC)
I like them alot. They are much smaller, gives more room for something important.Like a V8,efi swap on I-6.Did I mention much cheaper easier to find. There are other Toyota boosters that work(cars) but you need to look because there are differences (like stud length and pattern.Just my thoughts on the subject.
