Jen just got back from her 6 week acheckup appointment (after having the baby), and they told her we need to go in for a DNC on tuesday. :( Looks like not all of the 'extra stuff' was removed after the birth. This explains why, after 6 weeks, she's still been bleeding.

She seems to be handling this ok right now, but I don't know how it's gonna be as we get closer. We had to have this once before after a miscarraige, and she was nearly panicked when they finally put her under. She is SO scared of surgeries!

I feel really bad for her right now because I know she is scared. If we could just do this right away, it would probably be easier. She's also going to Phoenix to visit family with her mom, and I'm afraid this is going to ruin it for her.

Damn!

I feel your pain bro! I had to go thru this with my ex-wife. Try to keep her mind off the subject as best you can and reassure her that everythings gonna be allright. Make her laugh whenever she's feeling scared, thats what I did, and it made a HUGE difference. Is she taking extra iron pills to help her with the blood loss? My ex was bleeding A LOT, and needed them to keep from getting lightheaded.

Good luck and cograts on the new baby!

Good luck!

When I was a kid, my mom had to go through that a few times. Me being the curious one that I am, asked her what DNC was, she always told me it was "dusting n cleaning"

I'm sure she'll be fine.

Well, just FYI. The DNC went great and we are home, happy and well.

On a side note...

It's now been roughly 2 months (maybe longer) since last having sex, but now that this is done, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I hope it's not a train.

I'm glad that worked out. There's nothing like plumbing problems to get your heart pumping.

I been there with my wife too, I've felt your pain.... :(
