ok so im replacing the p/s pump and it manages to slip outta my hands while carrying it to the work table... and the electric vacum thing on the bottom side of the pump hits and breaks off the tips that the vacum hose attach to... i needed this part to transfer to the new pump... well its a dealer item and its 90 bucks...

what does this vacum do... and maybe someone has some ideas on a cheaper fix it... maybe somehow attaching some more tube??? just thought ild get some other ideas before gettin at it... thanks....

oh yea its a 90 toyota 4-runner

that little deal your talking about is the idle up, bumps your idle a little when you steer and are sitting still.
if you wanted to, you could just plug it on the pump, it really doesnt make that much of a diff.
remember to cap the vac hoses too;)
