just thought i'd post this.............all the Rodeo and late model amigo owner's can now get a rear 4.88 D44 ring and pinion for their stock axle configuration thanks to the new Jeep Rubicon ;)

this also cleary explains what we routinely go around in circles on ( ) about the stock isuzu dana 44 carriers

I searched to no end for a spacer ring before ordering a new carrier for the 5.38 swap. Looking at the picture on that link, I dont see why it wouldn't work. I did find d60 spacers, but nothing for the 44.

Water under the bridge at this point.

Out of curiosity, has anyone looked into putting the Rubicon air locker in an Isuzu D44? Since the gears from the Rubicon work for us, the air locker might as well. I guess the rear Rubicon locker w/ LSD has some anomalies, but the front may work.

yeah..that is the correct line of thinking. No one has tried it to my knowledge, but all signs would point ot compatibility.

i just sold one of these today for a 98 Amigo:

the new Electric Locker for the D44....used a 3.73 and down ratio as the customer is running Isuzu factory 4.77's in the rear Dana 44
