I am looking at a Circle Track 22 gallon fuel cell with foam. It has two -8AN fittings on top. No sump. Is this gonna work well in a rockcrawler or do I really need a drag cell? Also, where can I get the -8AN fittings for my fuel line?

The circle track cell will have the pickup mounted in one of the corners (I forget which). The drag tanks with the low sump work better.

As far as the fittings go, you can either buy the really expensive Aluminum ones that summit and jegs sell. Or use steel JIC-37 fittings - I bought mine here: http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/

Circle track will have the pickup in the right rear corner, depending on the type of cell you may be able to customize the pickup location.

Drag cells typically have a sump but may be limited in volume capacity.

If the tank is AL you may be able to build your own inner baffle system.

HERE YA GO

I JUST HAVE TWO 1"SQUARE TUBE RUNNERS UNDER THE CELL AND BOX....

THE FITTING ARE THE ONES YOU GET FROM SUMMINT $$$$$$$$$$$$$$I HAD THEM SO I USED THEM....

ALL YOU NEED ARE THE FITTING TO CONVERT THE -8 TO 3/8 HOSE AND YOU WILL BE SET ....UNLESS YOU LIKE THE BLING BLING

Yes you can. It's like $40 to do a 25 gallon tank. But someone on here made their own out of empty and cut up quart oil containers. Do a search. I know it was posted before.

i think atleast RCI sells the foam seperately - they sent me a catalog with my fuel cell and it has a number for the foam per stick.

Anyone have a part # for this (90 degree would be awesome)?

I was just looking at my newest catalog, & it had a -8 fitting at 90 degrees, with a barb fitting, but no mention off hose size....:(

I think it was like $18.... Plus the $7 handling fee, and then shipping. Puts into the "Bling, Bling" category.

Anyone know of some place cheaper?

-8 = 1/2"
-6 = 3/8"

I USED A REDUCER FROM -8 TO -6 THEN GOT THE -6 FITTING.......CHEAPER THAN THE -8

I HAVE USED REGULAR FUEL LINE IN THE AN FITTINGS AND HAVNT HAD PROBS.....BUT ITS CHEAPER TO GET A NIPPLE.......

HUH HUH HE SAID NIPPLE:D

yup AN fittings are based on 1/16ths.

-4 = 1/4"
-6 = 3/8"
-8 = 1/2"
-10 = 5/8"
-12 = 3/4"

oh and get the drag cell with the sump to the rear. usually the climbs will give you more problems than the decents.....gravity is a bitch.

Ok, forgive my newbie-ism here.

My fuel cell has a -8 fitting.
I need to connect it with 5/16" hardline (as cheaply as possible).
I can remove the current -8 fitting, but I'm not sure what to replace it with (that will fit).

I was looking at this: aer-fce1533 (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=search.asp&type=bysummitpart&searchtype=both&part=aer-fce1533&x=21&y=8).
But that puts me at 1/2" barb, then I have to reduce it.
