Well I'm going to swap a Chrysler 9.25" into my YJ to replace my Dana 35c, and decided to make a little writeup about it since I've never really seen anyone do this before.

I have this chart that compares shaft diameter and spline counts of various axles for comparison, but I can't find the shaft diameter for the 9.25 at all. I've looked through google for a good 30 minutes through about 50 pages, as well as on PBB. I found one web page that said the diameter was 1.6 but that's even bigger than a Dana 60, perhaps that is the measurement at the wide tapered part....?

Does anyone know the spline diameter?

31 spline, 1.32" diameter (same 30 degree pressure angle as the Dana/Spicer involute splines, unlike the GM 14-bolt). 1.6" is the big end at the bearing, as you said.
