I know someone has thought of this before. How do the stock TJ fender flares compare to the fender flares on a J10/J20? My fender flares have taken a beating and are also rusted. I'd like to replace them and move them up a little to make more room for larger tires.

I've seen TJ flares on a FSJ once but it wasnt that clean looking. Check out www.ifsja.org someone on there has Bushwacker XJ cutout flares on their rig and they look pretty good.

Another way to go is to add M715-style flares, which are basically just sheetmetal curved to follow the outline of the tire. Cut the metal within an inch of the final size, bend back that inch to the final wheelwell size and shape, to form a lip, and then tack the flare to that lip and to the inner wheelwell.

I forgot to mention that I am trying to get the "factory" look. Fiberglass or plastic fender flares would be great. I just don't like the Bushwackers with the pockets for the bolts.
