Anyone know of a shop that could install some horizontal drop outs for me on a steel bike? I've been meaning to do this for a long time, but never found a place to do it for a reasonable price.
My goal is to make a single speed out of my Bontrager frame :smokin:

Try Mikelson in Alameda ,he does good work when he puts the pipe down long enought to get it done :D :smokin:
I think hes prices are a litle lower than most,if that does'nt work,Taylor in Mill Valley might be able to do 'em

I haven't know Mikkelson to put the pipe down in over 10 years. If he did, the brain damage from all the paint fumes would cause him to shake. He practically HAS to keep :smokin: !

Best work - Steelman in Redwood City. Cheapest - Sycip or Taylor. Either way, you'll have to refinish that rear triangle. You could have it re-powder coated, or just just rattle can it.

Paul (make sure you get road drop outs and not track)

Let me see if I can get ahold of my friend Josh Johnson.

He's been building bikes in his garage for the locals for years.

If I can find his number I will email it to you.

How about some phone numbers?
I'm not worried about the paint. I got the whole thing powder coated in Santa Cruz for $40.
I'll just spray a little rattle can on it and call it a day :)
