Since this forum popped up, i started wondering. I see these 3 rigs running around town, and they look the same, so I wanna know if they are the same as far as drivetrain goes. You know the years I'm talking about, like '90 something to '97. After that I know the pathfinder changed, but the Honda and Izuzu still look the same. So, what's the difference if any?

94-97 & 98-02 Honda
91-97 & 98-02 Isuzu

Pretty close to same same, all made by Isuzu.

Nissan looks completely different, you need your eyes checked. :flipoff:

Nissan is almost nothing like isuzu. Aside from the fact that they use the same style frame and are both japanese.
Isuzu rebadged rodeos and troopers for honda for s short time (the troopers were badged as acuras).

My friend and I stood and compared our rigs a few days ago - drivetrain and all are of course very different, but the body is very similiar. Both are of course first gen; before Nissan switched to the bubble shape and really small tires.

How would you feel if I said your 4runner looked exactly like a kia sephia?
Don't blame your inadequacies on me because you can't distinguish the difference between a blonde and a brunette. Go play tag with traffic on the interstate while you wait for my reply, troll.

not that anything from Toyota looks like anything from Kia or that anything from Isuzu necessarily looks like anything from Nissan, but there are some very similar models out there as far as exterior size, shape and styling. take the Gen I Trooper and Gen I Montero, they are VERY different vehicles, but i used to get them easily confused. same with the Sportage and newer Vitara and Grand Vitara, even though i own a Sportage and have taken nearly every inch of it apart and put it back together! it happens. i can understand the percieved similarities between the old Pathfinder and the old Rodeo, they are both very hard-edged, somewhat boxy, both have a sloped rear window, although the Rodeo's slopes more, they are both about the same size, the Rodeo being a little longer, they both have square headlights and similar bumpers and tire carriers, flattish side panels and squarish hoods. after studying vehicles for a while, i have learned to tell the difference at first glance, but as i said, that wasn't always the case.

Asin-Seiko (sp), you may have heard of them being a Toy owner.... It's the same company that makes R15x's. ;) BTW a Isuzu V6 and Toyota R15x's mate up perfectly with only minor modification to the input shafts.
