The steel brake pipes on my back axle are a little worse for wear.

I've got a mate who can make up some replacements in braided hose, which I think would be much better. <Bling>

Does anyone know the thread on the caliper, and on the t-piece on the back axle ?

The axle is off of a 300TDI disco, about a '96 vintage I'd guess.

Thanks

They are indeed 10X1, but I believe they are straight thread and are unusually long. My friend at the hydraulic shop suggests I take my existing lines to them and they shear the old line from the fitting and then braze a JIC or AN fittting so a more standard assembly can be used. I'd do it, but don't like my truck being down for such. My power steering hoses have all been replaced in this fashion (with braided stainless:flipoff2: ).

Just another alternative!

Peace,
