....................when they get their first rig?
post in the other thread about a 5YO wanting her own jeep and driving a power wheels one around got me wondering what everyone elses plans were.
I was 3 when i got my first motorcycle. Before i could even ride a bicycle. Riding it alone in the feilds around the neighborhood by the time i was 4.
Buildup plans have already begun for my sons (18 months) first rig.
I figure by the time hes 4 or 5 he will be terrorizing the trails in the neighborhood in it.
What about everyone else.
She should have it in time for her first date - when she's 35 :D

I've got two 14-year olds at home, and a 1985 SJ410 in parts in the garage. My plan is to have it up and running before they are 16. My daughter even helped rebuild the starter the other day. (Okay, so she really just watched and helped to identify parts from the Service Manual, so that her hands didn't get dirty, but it's still a start!).
With a 1.0L engine, I won't have to worry about speeding in the neighborhood, and they will probably not want to go on the highway either.
Once this is complete, then I will look around for another Sammi to complement this one.

my son already thinks all my toys are his and all his toys are his he won't share for nothing. well he's thought all this since he could talk hes gonn be 6 in August been talking about a dirt bike since X-mas damn he'll prolly get one before I do.
Atleast all my kids (4) one boy 3 girls like 4x4's and dislike rice as much as I, everytime their ricer uncle stops by they poke and make fun of his Honduh and threaten to use it for a rti ramp:D
Dunno where they got that from
Once I get my junk done both of them I'll be starting on one for my oldest daughter and they all will help with each toy of their own to get it together.

I already got it for him, and he's due in November. I figure at my rate of work I should have it done by the time he's old enough to reach the pedals.

i dont have any kids (yet) but i do have a 5 yr old neice
i want to build her a little mini jeep
i work at a golf driving range in San Antonio and my boss has an old gas powered golf cart with a solid rear axle with a coil suspension
it runs but one of the axle shafts is stripped
the axle has a diff that is belt driven and i have been eyeballing that damn thing since i started working there
i am about to offer him some money so i can snag the damn thing before he gets rid of it
ill try to get some pics of it today
its really pretty cool for a golf cart
now i just need to figure out how to get a front axle on it

I bought a 720 Datsun a few years ago (it was cheap) and my son has claimed it. He is twelve. We are putting in a buick v6 with automatic. I'm also collecting parts for the SAS. My daughter (10yo) wants a jeep but I'm hoping that will pass.
