What do you guys think about the McNamara front axles and CV joints ? I understand that the CVs are from Toy73, do you think they'll handle 35" + tyres ?
In Israel the only option for front axles and CVs is the MD and they are illogically expensive.
Thanks,
Erez
Sorry to bug you guys, but I'm about to purchase halfshafts and CV joints this week and there is a huge difference in price between McNamara and MaxiDrive. I really need to know if the half shafts and CV joints (Land Cruiser 73 which have been adapted to Land Rovers) they offered me are suitable for a 35" tyre or bigger.
I'd appreciate any insight you guys might have.
Thanks,
Erez

What year is the 110? What differential do you have in it?

This mod has been discussed a lot. Check out
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=151144&highlight=rover+AND+toy+AND+cv
and do a search using the following terms : rover AND toy AND cv
quite a lot of info here.
IMO there is no advantage in going to toy CVs cause they are the same size. But if you can get lots of toy cvs cheap or you get longfields then it would be worthwile.
