Well, I got from Healdsburg to Davis when the tranny gave up. 4l60e. I noticed a minor vibe for a while, but attributed it to the driveshafts or tires. On the way today, the truck idled in drive with a major shake, and in neutral smoothly. Finally started losing fluid out the input seal, and burning on the exhaust. Luckily, AAA plus got me exactly 99 miles home for free on a flatbed.

So, I am disappointed about missing out on a fun wheeling trip, but the upside is I get to learn all about automatic trannies! Anybody wanna share info on my symptoms, or automatic trannies in general?
