That is what is refered to as a "duel fuel" set up and is JUNK. Not only did you get ripped off buying those parts, you will get ripped off in horsepower:clown:

I can get a set up for anything.......of course propane IS what I do:smokin:

you want OHG stuff
made in USA
uses a holley base plate so fits standard manifolds with no drama
big blocks need dual 4barrel carb intake manifold to feed them.
there are a ton of them running here in Canada
my buddy worked in a cool Propane coversion shop that specailized in dual 4, 460 ford conversions.
the Boss' toy was a mid 70s lincoln dual mixer turbocharged 460 with a c6 and gearvendors. he had a machine shop and was casting his own intakes.
it can be done real clean with OHG stuff

And why are the dual fuel systems junk? You might loose 20ish% HP but at 200:1 does it really matter? Besides, from what I have seen the major difference is in the "carburator" everything else is the same. In a couple of weeks I will have my dual fuel on. Then I will give a report on how well it works.

Hey if it is that bad mabye I will give you a ring and see what we can do...:D

Eh, I got a banshee and a 500cc 2 stroke motorcycle that do me just fine in the sand and I live in Las Vegas. Heck we don;t even have mud here!!!
Besides I am running a 2F in my cruiser still. I cruise around the dunes
;)

Plus with dual fuel you can run normal gasoline in your truck for he dunes or snow. then you have all of your normal power back..
Tha main reason I wanted Propane is to be able to idle upside down. And I will not be going that fast then.
I guess I am just dense. I do not see the down side :D

I don't want to Jew anybody down here...but I have a whole bunch of Impco gear that I would part for at a VERY good price...if you're interested my E-mail is Doug@sdgresources.com. All the regulators and mixers work and i have bare mixers and ones with 4bbl plates...

I'm putting propane in my 89 toy with a 4.3. I'm using a brand new 425 mixer, new regulator, adapter plate etc., electric primer and I have a twin tank that going underneath. I'm using the four barrel intake off an 85 (carb). So far I've got $450 into it, and that's including all the hoses and the $50 to sandblast the tanks. We'll see how it run (couple more weeks before I have it on the road).
