: Anyone on Pirate privileged enough?

Just wondering if anyone on this board was privileged enough to be invited to the private party they are holding over at “The Dweb Lounge”?

I wondered if that was what you were referring to.

I'm afraid that having registered on the Pirate board was enough to keep one out of the "Lounge". :flipoff2:

Its more like swimming with the trouble makers and needing a place to figure out how to clean it up so people wont be afraid to ask questions and not get attacked by people with nothing better to do.

It is frustrating to spend half of one's time defending one's arguments against such BS, especially when all I'm tryin' to do is help somebody. We will have to see what the end result is.

Also, as you are probably aware, I also frequent many of the same boards as you and glean many useful ideas.

Probation Boy! I wonder what the terms of your probation are? Daily PBB tests, or are they random PBB tests?

They still haven't told me what the heck I'm on probation for...it's only been the last couple of days, too. I told somebody to quit acting like a moron (he kept unplugging engine sensors and reporting back to the BB, asking either what they do or what harm it will cause his engine ).

However, I *think* it's because I continually circumvent their "tranny" ban. Ho and I had a rather interesting discussion ending in my use of the word tranny (and "dizzy" for "distributor") was not welcome on the website...as they are attempting to portray themselves as more educated automotive enthusiasts and "tranny" was a little too *redneck.*

I then informed Ho that "Disco" was exactly what "tranny" is to "transmission" and the first time I referred my Discovery as a "Disco" to a friend of mine, he looked at me, said rather sarcastically, "You did not just say that" then proceeded to laugh at me. It's a Disco thing...I obviously don't understand.

Anyway, I can't spell tranny, trannie, t.ranny without the red dots or "prohibited word error," but they haven't blocked out "tyranny" yet....:flipoff2:

At 970 views going on 1000, I bet you bone-yard U-joints that Pirate members are not the only ones interested in this thread.

Hey, I'm not gonna complain about getting banned. It's their site and they can run it any way they see fit. FWIW, I don't even modify or wheel my Disco, and I've got better things to do than argue the finer points of what oil or filters to use...

I still find it awfully humorous that "tranny" was a little too redneck for certain tastes, but I'm sure it is part of their vocabulary (then again, I've got doubts they'd ever take a wrench to their transmissions...so even discussing the merits of abbreviating "synchronizers" is probably out of the question  ).

Different strokes for different folks...I'm sure the respect is mutual.

You know that on DWeb the only opinions that are respected are the ones that the moderators control. Sort of like getting you’re news on the Crescent News Network aka CNN… It appears that any real technical aptitude seems to get banned or flamed out of existence sort of like the Jocks picking on the nerds….

Oh man a sick visual Ho in a White 3 piece getting into a big yellow Discovery driving home to log onto the Disco Lounge…….

Oh, please... listen to you go on Dee... Stop your nonsense.

You are way off base. I don't see this backing up your wild theory of "differing technical aptitude" cleansing at all, especially in your case. I see yours simply that you bit the hand that literally feed you and you got smacked for it. I have absolutely no doubt that if the roles were reversed and you (or anyone else) smack talked PBB over on DWeb after a few years of hard selling free of charge here, that they would have your PBB account canned just as fast.

How many diff guards have you sold through, or because of, DWeb, free of charge I might add. And lets be honest here, how much exposure did your business get because of DWeb and the word of mouth from satisfied customers on there, and how far along would you have grown to this point if not for shot in the arm that site gave you? You had a strong product, you positioned yourself on a board that directly exposed your target market to your product and I think you did extremely well in getting your name out there as a vendor that people now site when asked "who makes a good diff guard". And now you act all surprised because you shot yourself in the foot by mouthing off just for the sake of jumping on the "Bash DWeb" ban wagon, and you wonder if that may have been the reason? Gee, you think? Honestly, what in the world would make any website owner(s) keep a vendor around on their site especially making money off them free of charge and then see them turn around and talk shit about them somewhere else?

Chris to address your comments

-------------------------
You are way off base. I don't see this backing up your wild theory of "differing technical aptitude" cleansing at all,

especially in your case.

>Do I take that as a slam? Well you don’t know me or my abilities so the ball in your court on that one.
-------------------
I see yours simply that you bit the hand that literally feed you and you got smacked for it.

>Ok was I complaining about getting banned or just letting Paul know
--------------------
I have absolutely no doubt that if the roles were reversed and you (or anyone else) smack talked PBB over on DWeb after a few years of hard selling free of charge here, that they would have your PBB account canned just as fast.

>Talking smack Um… 99% of the shit talked about that board is trash so what gives with your moralistic high ground? Oh your suffering short term memory loss go read all the posts current and then compare my comments…. Was I abusive or demeaning? I made a comment that the only opinions valued on DWeb are the ones controlled by the moderators… Based on Kyle and John Lee’s abusive comments and elitists attitudes all the time I believe that to be factually true. But I doubt you will read there postings non biased

--------------------
How many diff guards have you sold through, or because of, DWeb

>Well you dragged me down this lane again

You are making broad assumptions about the worht od Dweb as a revenue chain. Ive sold about 3 dozen sets. It’s a hobby so I really wont loose sleep if I don’t sell on Dweb anymore. Also 6 sets were given free of charge to various members to field test.
Did I give DWebbers breaks on shipping ? Yes.
Did I reduce the price? Yes.
Did I give them a quality product or have you heard any negatives?

----------------------
free of charge I might add.

>As far as sucking up the benefits DiscoWeb provided me for free and shitting on them, that shit burns me… If there was a gratuity or membership dues required for sales posted or Vendor fee to post I would have gladly kicked back some green dead presidents.
But in with the high numbers of sale you seem to think DWeb has afforded me they would make more off my buying DVD and Videos. Im not a cheep bastard like most who hang out there...

If there’re marketing vision had the bar raised a bit higher and offered more products to support the site I would have bought more but that’s their problem not mine… Im glad you’re concerned though.

Lance how is he supporting your efforts here? I believe I emailed you today and asked about a vendor subscription.

To further show how I sponged off them. I did help with donations for the new server way back when I think it was stickers. As far as bribing the members I gave Kyle some radiator plugs for free after he ordered 4 of them not a high dollar gift but it was free.
So now that I’m banned send the dam things back… Hey and to show his appreciation for my generosity not even a thank you or a post for his opinions of them. But he called in a panic needing a set of Diff-Guards last summer said warp them up ill call back where to ship. I blew 2 sales holding them. At the time those were my last set in stock.
As a favor for letting me post on Dweb and even after I never received his call then got slammed by him for my post on the guards I still offered him a set to abuse for free to validate my claims as to there quality the guy never had the curtsey to return my email…
---------------------
And lets be honest here, how much exposure did your business get because of DWeb..

>Lets really look how much valuable exposure I gained and at what cost to me, Prior to any commercial sales or postings on DWeb I asked Kyle for permission on behalf of my old partner Nathan to post on DWeb. Well we had the Super K’s blessings to post his quote “post what ever I like how ever I like and if any body has a problem tell them to fuck off this is my board” if needed to back up my claims ill post the email from Kyle.

He made that agreement in good faith we did not pressure him and being he owed DR a few $$$ thousand 90 days late favors he felt it was the least he could do for Nathan

Believe me I was against posting commercial sales pitches but Nathan’s urgings and Kyle’s blessing I posted. Well Team DiscoWeb must not have been CC on that agreement because shit hit the fan and I was down wind, so my most favorable memory f Disco Web was when I was the labeled the notorious Parts Whore and slammed hard. For what offering you Leammings $$ huge $$ discounts.

Did Super K back up his offer? NO he went spineless. He made some lame retort to his previous offering to us.

----------------------------

and the word of mouth from satisfied customers on there, and how far along would you have grown to this point if not for shot in the arm that site gave you? You had a strong product, you positioned yourself on a board that directly exposed your target market to your product and I think you did extremely well in getting your name out there as a vendor that people now site when asked "who makes a good diff guard".

>Well I thank you for your opinion of them my other line will be equally impressive.
---------------------
And now you act all surprised because you shot yourself in the foot by mouthing off just for the sake of jumping on the "Bash DWeb" ban wagon, and you wonder if that may have been the reason? Gee, you think? Honestly, what in the world would make any website owner(s) keep a vendor around on their site especially making money off them free of charge and then see them turn around and talk shit about them somewhere else?

Well I guess the poke at Ho in a white suit did me in… Funny if you saw Ho’s day job you would laugh
The combination of His Pimp Clothes Store and exclusive rights to the Disco Lounge I could not resist.

-----------------------
Free of charge

I believe if you buy the stickers and DVD’s and Videos your allowed to post items for sale… Hey its there rules if you don’t think its fair talk about it at the lounge,
----------------------

For one I haven’t posted sales for RoverBiz for many months I did post some used shocks and some spring last month but I considered that a private sale not Roverbiz correct me if I’m wrong
