did a clutch replacement on my friends civic along with new axles and some gaskets and stuff. had planned on swapping the rear springs to the front along with new shocks and putting another set of springs in the back....previous owner had put the front springs in the rear in a rush to go wheeling and skipped the fronts because it was getting dark, and never got around to fixing it. time had run out for myself today, it was 10 and i didn't want to keep the air compressor running so i started work on replacing the front shackles. i don't know how much lift they're supposed to give (got them with the jeep) but they're about 2" longer than stock. i gained about an inch and a half i would say. left the torque wrench at home so i tightened them up pretty good and drove about an hour home. the ride is a lot firmer, yet smoother, then whatever leaves were in there with the stock shackles. i didn't unbolt the ubolts because like i said, it was late and i needed to get home. going wheeling tomorrow at 6 :) that's my quick little review. i'll post back with better measurements of height gained, as well as let you know if they catch on anything tomorrow more then the stock shackles did. look like they'll protect the steering box a little better, but i still need a skid for it.
