Well I just found out from a reliable source that Avalanche Engineering is building or has built a new vehicle. Unlike the recent vehicle the assasin this one is suppost to be huge like Suburban size. A family rockcrawler :D Anyone heard or seen this new rig?

Maybe they welded four assasin's together.

I thought they were making huge snipers if anyone wanted one: 4 seater or 2-seat pickup that had a 118" wheelbase. Never actually seen one built though.

Take a look at the article in the newest edition of JP magazine regarding the Avalanche rig on the cover. I saw this thing in Montrose in September and it is friggin' HUGE! The magazine pictures don't really give you a perspective of how big it really is. It is on 44's and I'm here to tell you it's way more than any 6' tall. I don't have the article in front of me at the moment so I don't know which wheelbase it is but at the time we were there even my wife commented on the size. The part we had the most trouble with was when a bystander asked if it could be duplicated for $100K and the guy said "not even close." Oh to only have been born rich instead of so darn good looking!

Hey guys thank you for your interest. We are building a four seater buggie. 115" wheelbase, ZL1 aluminum big block, 4l80 tranni, Atlas III, Avalanche Advantage axles(40 spline 300m, all the cool parts). 38" comp Mickey Thompsons, 42" Swampers optional. All powder coated Silver and green. It is built in a similer style as our Snipers, however it is a different chassiss design. Gossimer is the red Scrambler on the cover of JP, built for 4Xvideo. The two rigs are not related. Again, thanks for your interest. Clifton :jeep:

THANK YOU CLIFTON!!!!
So we were both wrong (you more than me :flipoff2:).I didnt realize I was being a ( o ), slick. I dont think a CJ-6 is the size of a 'burban is it? You said "2.5 ton rockwells, tube frame (obviously) 44" boggers, etc.. I dont thinks its the 4 person snip." Well when did you go from not thinking it was a sniper to being so sure about it that you get pissed when sombody says otherwise?
This is the Jeep on the cover of JP

Um...Atlas III?

I'm not trying to be an ass and correct you, seriously. I'm just wondering if this is a typo or if I'm completely out of the loop. Is this a new product from AA? If so, anyone have info or specs? I'll be in the market for an Atlas II soon (hopefully), but would rather get the "new-and-improved" version if there in fact is one.

The word I got on the Zuk side was that there new rig was a Suzuki that had been stretched about 80" to make the wheel base some where in the 160" range. I bet it gets it!:flipoff2:

You think so, eh, fawker? That tube frame jobbie looks pretty cool, but that "thing" in the far right of that shot looks like a serious :rainbow: POS. I can't believe anybody would even waste the space to store that thing inside. :flipoff2:

The buggy being built in Denver I believe is the project Rockbuggy was refering to. Per the Clients request the machine is being constructed with a suberban size in mind. In a similer inside width and wheelbase. Although I'am familer with the cool Hummer project being cordinated in Bayfeild, I do not beleive it reflects the originating question put forth by Rockbuggy. The image that Pete linked to is the buggy, although in the early stages. Clifton :jeep:

About 6 months ago someone had a 4 seat Sniper type out for testing at Paragon. Big - 44 boggers, rear steer, the axles were stamped like "60 PLUS" or something like that. It wasn't totally done (lacked some finish stuff, lights not fully hooked up).
Didn't get pics.
