: I guess it is all realtive, huh?
wngrog 11-29-2001, 11:41 AM I had a post in the General section about breakage with Dana 60's and one of my wheeling buddies posted back that I should get out and wheel my truck hard before I expect to break anything!
WTF? I thought I had been thoroughly "Getting it" for the last 3 months since I got these axles!
Hell, I guess it's all relative, huh?
well i would say you are gettin it
LC Hamma 11-29-2001, 01:13 PM Why isn't your driver front tire spinnin' Break your
stub shaft, hub unlocked, or open diff:question:
wngrog 11-29-2001, 01:25 PM Funny, I have been wondering the same thing. I could not tell you as the front is a Detroit and the rear is a spool.
I think it is just a funky picture.
LC Hamma 11-29-2001, 02:07 PM Yeah, just think if you had an ARB in there - that tire'd be
spinnin' exactly as fast as the other one. Then you'd have
dual spools :smokin:
gunracer1 11-29-2001, 02:08 PM i can say that line you took right there is getting it awn. i have see many try it. mike

Yeah, when it decided to work.
ARB....AlReady Broken
Been there done that. No thanks.
If you look at the rear, it looks like the tire on the right is spinning and the one on the left is stationary.....that's impossible, I have a Spool??!!
Lord Baskerville 11-29-2001, 06:53 PM Since the pic was most likley taken just as you let off the go pedal...
The wheel in the air is probably overrunning the locker :)
Lock-Rites will do this and I think yours will too.
If a spool or welded does.... Life sucks shortly there after:smokin:

Shawn 11-29-2001, 08:55 PM In the pics you have been posting in the last few,,, I'd say,
"you be getin some"
You will be breaking stuff soon enough, don't let peer presure make it come sooner than it should.
wngrog 11-30-2001, 04:36 AM The post origionated to find out who is having breaks with their D60's. I want to know how much money to invest in spares (35 spline inners outers Front and Rear)
So far as the post goes, not much breakage there.
I just don't have the $$$ right now to invest $500 in spares I might never use??!!??
Jimyrigdfj 12-03-2001, 09:17 AM I just don't have the $$$ right now to invest $500 in spares I might never use??!!??
Dont worry Im pretty sure youll use them someday.
40_Bones 12-03-2001, 09:33 AM I see the J**p line in the background is alittle different than the one you chose.:D
wngrog 12-03-2001, 10:49 AM I got in a situation this weekend where I had to cut the tires and put it in reverse and bounce it to get it off a rock.
LOVE those 1480 joints.
I think I heard a Birfield break on a Cruiser WATCHING what I was doing :)
FIXXXXAH 12-03-2001, 07:27 PM I dont know, maybe im a puss, but my idea of gettin it isnt just a heavy right foot. i'd say the guy who can get through with less skinny pedal and less stress on his rig is doing a better job of gettin it awn than a guy who's all throttle and is breakin his rig. I'm trying to get to the point of being the first, but i'm far from being there. BUT, i may be wrong. Matt:skull:

I drive that way also, but when you have gone as far as you can with the feather pedal, the skinny pedal helps.
I consider myself easy on parts, but sometimes it just takes some umph to get over something.
wngrog 12-05-2001, 06:23 AM I LOVE to crawl. I am 100:1 with a 2F. I can creep with the best of them.
Fun thing is being able to ROMP on it and not worry about leaving parts on the trail.
My wheeling time is getting more and more valuable, therefore, when I go I want to wheel and save the wrenching for the other 3 weekends I am at home in a month.
