Also, his modificationalso includes welding a reinforcing ring around the bell, right? On the Rover CVs I've seen grenade, they were all due to the failure of the cage allowing the balls to move around and then, additional damage from the pieces of the cage and the balls floating around, interefering with the movement of the steering members. The failure of the cages have been due to no oil. Are the Dodge mini-van components any stronger than the stock Rover parts? So far, maintaining oil levels and not "Gettin' it" with the wheels turned, I haven't needed to replace mine yet, but I know the day is coming when I'll hear the crunching... Birfields were some new to me when I started hanging out on P4x4 over four years ago, but I quickly learned that some vendors were more colorful than others! | |
