A PERFECT CIRCLE have set "Weak And Powerless" as the first single from their forthcoming sophomore album, "Thirteenth Step", due on September 16 through Virgin Records. The single will impact radio stations on August 4.

As previously reported, "Thirteenth Step" is the follow-up to 2000's "Mer de Noms", which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 1.4 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. It spawned the singles "Judith" (No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks airplay chart, No. 5 Modern Rock Tracks), "3 Libras" (No. 12 Modern/Mainstream Rock Tracks), and "The Hollow" (No. 14 Mainstream Rock, No. 17 Modern Rock).

"Thirteenth Step" is the band's first set with new bassist Jeordie White (ex-MARILYN MANSON), formerly known as Twiggy Ramirez. White replaces Paz Lenchantin, who joined ZWAN. A PERFECT CIRCLE member Troy Van Leeuwen played on the new album but will not be touring with the group, due to commitments with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE.

The complete track listing for the album is as follows:

01. The Package
02. Weak and Powerless
03. The Noose
04. Blue
05. Vanishing
06. A Stranger
07. The Outsider
08. Crimes
09. The Nurse Who Loved Me
10. Pet
11. Lullaby
12. Gravity

A PERFECT CIRCLE will be kicking off a headlining tour of clubs at the end of the month.

Kick ass. I saw them in concert about 3 years ago with NIN right after the first album came out. I'm looking forward to the new release

Someone put a gun to your head?

Just sit at home, put the album on, close your eyes, and imagine the life show.
