Need a conversion "bracket" for a front out put on a 205. Don't want to change the shaft and i know the thing exists. Buddy of mine has one and it bolts to the square flange and has a yoke conversion for a regular drive shaft. Any info on this would be great. Thanks.

Go to Six States they sell the new yokes. I put a 205 out of a 74 Dodge into my 86 Dodge I took the U-Jiont yoke off and bolted a CV yoke in its place. Onlu new parts I used were the new yoke a new seal and a new nut real simple.

Maybe i wasn't clear. I need to ditch my existing cv style for a u-joint style. Here is a pic of the conversion piece i was telling you about. If i can't find one can i weld a yoke to a piece of steel that bolts to my cv yoke bracket? II know the cv bracket has a raised part on it but i can get that machined down. Anyone??? JESS

Try pn c2-2-4308-1. Six States has these in stock. It uses a 3r style ujoint.

That picture is of a stock CV yoke with a conversion U-Joint ( 2 different size caps/cross shafts) so that you can get rid of the CV and run just one joint, hence a regular shaft, is that the part # your giving him?

Now it may sound half-assed but I made the same flange you are showing in the photo. Just used the one out of a Saginaw style CV (the flange type shown) joint and cut the ball off the end that is in the center of the CV joint normally. I ground it all out and down and it looked exactly as the one in your photo. The only thing is the saginaw CV used 3R joints as the one in the photo does. That isn't so bad though, they're about as big as a Spicer 1330 joint.

there isa variety of things you can do - 1410 (machine the pilot to 2 11/16 ) - go to a 1350 c/v real easy- i have the flange ready to go- 32 degree capable- a single joint set up is only good for 20 degree's max- give me a call if this is not what your looking for-JEss 530-877-2875

Why yes it would be, the flange is for a 5-3147x joint. If he wants to run a 1310 weldyoke on the driveshaft he would have to run a combo joint.

I'm not really sure I understand (maybe better in the morning when I sober up :)) but if you want the piece that bolts to the flange and allows you to press in a regular u-joint (1310) I might have on in the yard on my old front shaft...I can look for you if this is what you need and if this makes any sense...
the piece I'm thinking I have is like a circle that bolts to the flange with 2 ears sticking off of it that you press a u-joint into...
E-mail me and I'll look for it if thats what you need...
