How much longer are Waggy springs than Wrangler springs, I am running 2.5" Wrangler Springs SOA no shackle reverse and am looking to get a little more shackle angle. Also Who makes good Waggy springs and is 2.5" lift on thoe more than 2.5" on wranglers?

Waggy springs are 46" center pin is offset 2" Rancho 44044 seem to be the 2.5" lift waggy springs of choice. I like them with one leaf pulled out.

Good :question:s Scott! I have a '76 FSJ Cherokee and would like to get more flex as well as a good street ride at the same time. Is that possible:question:

Hey Rockslut!! Do you know of any springs that are longer than the factory FSJ springs:question: A buddy of mine put longer springs on his smaller rig with (relatively) the same GVW and he flexes like mad! I know of suppliers like Rancho, Old Man Emu, etc. and have heard about Alcan, National, etc. But the never-ending hunt for the better spring with a longer lifespan is what I would like to end. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys, Tigger4X :jeep:

Hey Osama! If you don't like the horns, don't wave the BIG RED flag at the bull !! :nuke: :nuke: & kisses :barf:... :usa:

Scott, My buddie has a 'Zuki and he used the stock Wrangler spring set and gained somewhere between 7-9 inches of spring length. Waggie springs just might give you the length you are looking for. Oh yeah, in addition to the length of the Wrangler springs, he also put in "Missing link" shackles. Double the fun... awesome flex and some :smokin: droop!! He might go with the Rancho Wrangler springs and might even go with a little freelift with 'em. All kinds of :) options!!

I pulled the third leaf from the bottom of the stack. Before I pulled the leaf they werent extremely flexy. Pulled the leaf, the ride is very good, flex is very nice and from what it looks like these springs should last a long time on my setup. I have a pic but no red star yet

As for the longer springs, Waggy springs are 46" so the next step would be in the 53" range that I know of. Rear Dakota, XJ, MJ, Waggy springs are all in that range with a 24" offset center pin. Not as good as the 22" offset in the front waggy but still good for a longer spring. I have a set of rear MJ springs that I will be putting in the rear and moving the 44044's to the front on my YJ. If using the 53" spring in the rear of a YJ you can reuse your shackle mount and just move the solid mount forward all the way to the skid plate.

Hey Rockslut, email me the pic at bermboy@hotmail.com
So you arent using the 44044's all the way around? Or did I misread something? You don't have to move the spring hangers right?

Sorry to bring back a dead post but I pulled a set of 7 leaf waggys last week and they measure 46" with a 22.5" offset one way and 23.5" the other. Wouldnt that only be a 1" difference in wheelbase? Or am I not thinking clearly?:D

Your not thinking clearly. :flipoff2:

Did you happen to measure the length of the spring and compare that to the length of the YJ springs?

Since you arent thinking clearly, I'll help. :flipoff2:

The waggy springs are 1" longer than the YJ's and the centering pin is off-set 1".

:flipoff2: 1" + 1" = 2" :flipoff2:

:D

1"+ .5"=1.5". That one inch longer is .5 per side...
