I'm looking for a Female to Female brake fitting so I can eliminate my hard line off of my front calipers and just run the Braided line. I have searched everywhere and can't find em. This is on a Toy caliper.

Tried NAPA, Kragen, all the others with no luck. Even spent some time at PNP with no luck. Anything online ?

I went to American Streetrod, http://www.amstreetrod.com/index.html picked up an adaptor that was metric to AN, and then useda AN 90 degree fitting to my SS line. Works great, and keeps the SS line out of harms way

Here's what I bought:

Quan. 2 P/N 592032 Caliper Adapter-3 to 10 MMF
http://www.amstreetrod.com/581531.gif

Quan. 2 P/N 934103 90 deg Nut to Nut Low Profile
http://www.amstreetrod.com/934108.gif

Take your lines with you to make sure it all fits up

Napa does have them, or at least the Rebie's Napa's do. Tell them to take you to their Weatherhead fitting bins and get a Weatherhead 7934A "metric union." Both the Auburn stores stock them and I'd assume the CH/Carmicheal ones would too.

FWIW, that fitting and some others are on this page:

The top right brass fitting in this pic is the 7934A, its a straight fitting (there is another brass fitting screwed into it on its left side).

Napa probably has them, but if your local Napa is anything like mine, the guy behind the counter is too lazy to look. They just give you the standard "We don't have anything like that." Anyway enough ranting, check with Earl's, that's where I found mine.

I found 3 unions in my NAPA parts book.

Imports with U.S. threads= 641-5015
Imports with MM thread= 641-5027 (standard flare)
Imports with MM thread= 641-5020 (bubble flare)

and adaptors that covert U.S. threads to MM

641-5023
641-5025
641-5026

not sure any of them will work for ya though...:D

FWIW, Toyota uses "inverted flare" fittings.

Erik,

Just a heads up. The two links;

Stant Inverted Flare Tube Fittings page (http://www.stant.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=632&location_id=177)

Stant Hydraulic Brake Line Fittings page (http://www.stant.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=637&location_id=177)

Both receive a the 404 error (Page Not Found)

I know, but I cant find a decent link to replace them with. Those links had a lot of good info and crossreferences before they took them down. :(
