As mentioned in an earlier post, I am planning to put a 350 in a '96 Blazer. The 4.3 that came out is pretty similar to what's going in, but what about the engine mounts? Asside from the countless little issues involved with making it fit, will the 350 physically bolt right in??? Or will I need custom mounts???
Thanks for any information

Buy the JTR book on this - answers every question you will ever have about this, they also sell the motor mounts that you'll need.

The 350 will physically fit but not without a good bit of custom work.
Mike Copeland who recently competed in Petersen's Ultimate Adventure put a stock LS1 in his 98 ZR2 and a few months before the UA he pulled the stock LS1 and dropped in a 427 LS1 that he got from the C5-R racing team. The first LS1 took him a lot of trial and error to get everything right.
