Swapping body parts

So after looking at a few of the Amigo's and seeing that wonderful fender well opening(thanx for slashing your tire Sean and changing so I could see how big they really are)I thought back to when I saw something a year or 2 ago about doing the change over from Rodeo stock fenders to Amigo stock fenders.I have a 95.5 Rodeo so would the 94-96 range of Amigo work for this?I tried a search on the wire but no joy.Anyone know off the top of their head.:skull:

most isuzu front clip parts are the same for the styling runs whether pickup rodeo or amigo.

Fenders
First-gen Amigo fenders will bolt on to first-gen Rodeos (and vice versa, as I have done for years) but the wheel well is the same size front-to-back. The chief difference between the fenders is the amount of 'bulge; to the top of the arch... coverage is the same at the fender bottoms. Amigo fenders are only available at the junkyard or at the dealer; Rodeo fenders are available also available in reproduction stampings for cheaper (why I run them). If you swap fenders from Amigo-to-Rodeo or vice versa, to do it right, you'll also need the plastic inner fenderwells. There are also some differences on the radio antenna hole, depending on year.

Front Clips
Some bumpers are radiused wider at their ends to match the Amigo flares, so your fenders may look goofy in relation to your bumper if they are mis-paired.
The front clip sheet metal stampings vary quite a bit (but in small ways) through the first generation years... there are small mid-year tweaks with holes in different places. With larger variations, the first gens are split in terms of straight grills, curved-bottom grills, and aero-headlight grills, with corresponding variations in the grill, bumper, headlight/marker assemblies, and front bulkheads.

In summary -- you *can* make parts work across the whole first-generation, but some custom work will be required, and sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it just won't look right.

i hear ya on the inner liners, but not a fan of those.....don't personally run them...but, i can see the value of it if you are thinking on more of a stock-ish truck w/ stock bumpers.

Not to split hairs but 95-97 amigos dont exist, at least not in the US. First gen was 89-94 and second gen is 98-current.

Thank you Dallas...I ride a Rodeo so I have no clue about the Amigo portion of this program...LMAO.Thanx for the very quick very tastefully done flaming....more of a sparking really but thanx.

Randii I always love when you interject and once again super info.You run Rodeo fenders on your Amigo???When I finally saw an Amigo with a tire off it looks like there is all kinds of room for craming a tire in there.Far more than in my Rodeo's fenders wells.Could be an optical dilusion but that's what I think I saw.So is there a fiberglass aftermarket or has Drew not finished those yet?:skull:
