Can stock Chevy 1 ton rear springs be rearched for a 6" lift for my rear lift.........I'm trying to do this cheap and someone told me that this can be done....
I got my Skyjacker 8" fronts, and trying to do the rear cheap....
Heres what i got so far........
I have a set of skyjacker 2.5" rears and was goin to do a 4" shackle flip, and 2" block to get my 8.........
Flex isnt a big concern for me, just lift!!!!

i would use the 2.5" lift springs with a shackle flip and the block. i wouldnt rearch the springs as they'll fatigue easier and flatten out or worse break.

I used 57" Ford springs turned around backwards with 4 extra leaves from my factory Dodge 5 leaf pack. It gave me about 4" of lift from the spring and an additional 2" from the shackle flip. No more blocks for me!
And no I don't plan on having a lot of axlewrap with an 8 leaf pack :flipoff2:

Skyjacker only makes two different spring packs for the rear of our Dodges as far as I know.
The DR40 is used to give 2.5" of lft, does not use the factory block.
The DR40 is also used in the rear for 6" systems, but retains the factory block (blocks vary 3.5-5" tall on most trucks, should yeild near 6" lift on most)
The DR60 is used in the rear for 4" lift, does not use factory block.
The DR60 is also used in the rear for 8" lifts but keeps the factory block.
So if you have the 2.5" rear lift springs, use the factory block, and you should have a 6" rear lift.
