: Revolvers on an EB?

Has any one tried using revolvers on a EB?
First off yes I know the stock shackels on an EB are upside down for revolvers to work and yes you would need to rebuild mounts in the traditional "JEEP" style to get them to work. Would their be any advantage or dis-advantage to doing this.
Would you be better off doing a pivot between the axel and spring? I am running 11 leaf nationals in rear and 5 1/2 rock crawlers in front. What have you guys found that works well?

Advantage: Able to get your revolvers, coupe inches of lift, and extra flex.
Disadvantage: Little bit more body roll around turns, and possibly a bit more unstable.

This is the same thing I am doing to my truck.
As for the pivot between the springs and axles. This I have never done. I did see something in a 4X4 mag about this. I didn't read into it much, but it seemed like a pretty good idea to me.

I think you get the same effect either way. Chuck at BC Broncos ( http://www.bcbroncos.com )sells the spring rockers that go between the leafs and the axle, they provide about 2" of lift. I can also sell you those.
For the revolvers, I think snowball from this board - Mike Ladd, of Bent and Twisted, did that to his Bronco when he had it, and has done so on other Broncos too.
I haven't talked to any one with the fliped perch and revolver shackle, but I have spoken to a few with the BC Bronco spring perches and they say that they can notice a little more body roll but nothing drastic. As for the duarability of either set up, I believe Mike ran his for over a year with out failure and I am fairly sure that Chuck has been running his for well over a year.

Mike would put f-150 Springs on EB's and do a shackel flip, be he would never run a revlover, they do just plain old suck, search the general 4x4 board, and you can see tons of other people who have had a lot of problems with them

Thanks for the info, I have built several broncos before but on this one I wanted to get it all right the first time so I am asking all the questions and all ideas before I fire up the plasma! Here is a shot of my last EB before gravity totaled it in victorvally two years ago. The two pics are from seira trec two years ago and the mag is 4x4 power Aug 2000

I am also thinking of putting on revolvers on my eb. I was going to ask the same question.
What do people think of the front spring pivots from Bent and Twisted? After the revolvers in the rear i will need to level out the bronco.

Coil Pivots---Good Stuff so far. just recently finished the rig, I installed mine the middle of last summer, but I have only had 1 true run on them so far. I am running WH 5.5 Coils with B&T Pivots and extended arms. Flexed great.....I didn't even pull the pin on the Wristed arm (wanted to test every else for the first run). They are bigger than they used to be, I think around 2.5"s total lift. Well made, look strong as hell.

I don't have a digital camera, but let me see if I can catch some one with a scanner. Stop by and check it out if you want, maybe sometime this weekend. Truck is in Sac. I always have time to talk Broncos. I have a lot of body roll, but I attribute most of it to the extended arms and weak shocks.
