Cuz guys like me are hoarding them! Found a couple biguns today. Has anyone ever found a heavy duty model?

I've got three of them also.I know where two came from but the third hasn't been identified yet.Whats up with the heavy duty model? Here is the #'s from the unidentified one.

I used to have a link to a site that had CFM ratings for various model #'s but I can't find it right now.

I thought that they were all heavy duty. They vary in displacement, not CFM. CFM depends on how fast you run them.

bit of a brain fart on the cfm\displacement.I was hoping somebody would pipe up with a link to a model# = what displacement site.
I've seen the oil blow by fix before.It's a really good write up.
I'm confused on the heavy duty designation also

there are 3 displacements a 6, 9, and 10. The 9r in your part number means yours is the 9. Onboardair.com has all the ID info. You can also tell by pulling the pulley and looking at the shaft.

I've worked on the A\C for a couple of buses that were converted to motorhomes and didn't notice anything different about the compressors,they were both the same size as the ones I've got.Suppose I'll have to look a harder and see if I can find a heavier duty model

that heavy duty model looks like every YORK head Ive ever seen?

the one on the right of the diag looks like a compact model or something, what am I missing, what makes it heavy duty? different head fittings?

York is now Climate Control Inc and their manual says that they only come in "heavy duty" and "compact". Anybody seen a "standard" one?

I assumed the one on the right was the heavy duty one because it has more head bolts. The picture isn't exactly clear. If you assume the title is also the label for the pumps, then the one on the left is the heavy duty one. :confused: :confused: :confused:

In the picture labeled "Heavy duty and Standard models, the picture on the right is just a view of the bottom of the compressor. I have only seen two models, the "heavy duty" and the "compact". The compact unit is sweet if you have space issues. Yorks are still made by CCI.

Ok, it's all clear now, thanks. I think I saw one of the compact models on a VW.
