that carb is a piece of shat. Get rid of it, along with the inline sux.

I dont' know shiat about Carter carbs, but

is the float too high?

is the float bad?

needle valve not seating?

fuel pressure too high?

Here is THE recipe for your Carter problem!!

Go to Autozone (or your favorite parts store or bone yard)

Get a MOTORCRAFT 2100 CARB for a 302 motor.
Then get a 2 bbl to 2 bbl adapter plate.

Look up this swap on any board worth a damn(or not)and get the rest of the info.

Works great once adjusted properly.

Works for me, and I basically did't know shiat about carbs when I did the swap either.

Stop wasting your time, on that carb..I'm saying this from experience.

It can be made to run properly for a while but isn't worth it IMO.

Don't bother with remmanned ones they are worse.
DO the swap...no more computer controlled BS that is the best part.
And dont waste your money on a Webber, you'll just end up wasting valuable wheeling time adjusting yur floats, or asking your girlfriend if you can borrow a tampon to stuff into the float bowl for off camber running. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
They are good carbs, but not made for froadin from what I've seen.
