What kind of pressure you getting??

I just got it all plumbed back together, fired it up and I'm only getting about 7 psi at the gauge right before the tbi.

Stock IH Scout in-tank pick-up, with stock "sock" (in good shape).

Fram "G3" pre-filter (3/8" in and out), pump (mounted at approximately the same level as the bottom of the tank), primary filter (forget the number off hand, WIX, '82-'84 GM car, 3/8" in and out). New 3/8" rubber line to tbi.

It runs off the low pressure, you can idle and rev it, but took it for a test drive and definitely a major lack of fuel. tbi regulator all the way up.

This is a Holley 2D, Digital. I have the Carter pump currently running off the stock Holley wiring, got to try a relay tonight, but earlier testing was showing 11.5+ volts through the Holley harness (motor not running).

Is the Carter a "pulse" pump, of supposed to be a vane pump (like the stock pump). Mine is acting like a pulse pump, wondering if that is part of my problem. Its supposed to put out like 15+ Psi...

I KNOW people here are using this pump, and successfully.... know one has had a problem??

WTF is right. Mine seems to be running fine so far, but it hasn't been fully tested. Mine starts fine and idle and revs just fine. It has sustained 2000 to 2500 rpm for 25 minutes during the cam break-in... however, this was with no load on the engine sitting in the driveway. I have not yet had a chance to drive the damn thing. The catalog cut sheet on that pump shows that it is a universal external fuel pump for GM T BI systems. It is a solenoid type (instead of a roller vane), flows 30 GPH wide open and has a shut off pressure of 10-14 psi. I haven't yet put a fuel pressure gauge in it yet so I'm not sure what I'm getting at the TBI.

I'm running the GM TBI system, not the Holley EFI system... don't know what difference that makes. I need to get a few more things done so I can get the bitch out on the road see what happens with a load on the engine.

I'm using a WIX 33033 filter as a prefilter and a WIX TBI fuel filter (forget the number at the moment) as a final filter. I dunno, maybe you sucked up a wad of crud and plug the prefilter. Might try to replace the prefilter and see what happens. Hope you get it figured out.
