I have just reassembled my front drive shaft. How much grease can I put in the slip joint now that I have it in place?

I would not pump it full, I like to hand load some on the shaft and slide it together. If you fill it it will not compress.

Unless you do a lot of water driving the little bit of grease will work fine.
