is a 108 wheel base to much? I mostly run stuff in moab, cause its close, and I think I'll do fine there, most of it is wheelbase friendly. but what about stuff like the rubicon, hammers, and AZ trails?

Seems like all "from-the-ground-up" projects shoot form something in the 105-110" range. You're right there in the thick of it :D

Speaking of wheelbases. Does anyone know the wheelbase of a chevy or ford short bed?

Long wheelbase works wonders in Moab. 105-110" rigs are all over the place. I have seen a few in the 120" range and they just climb up stuff like it's nothing.

I have my YJ now set up at 105", and I am amazed at how well it climbs. The longer wheelbase came at just about the same time as improved steering through the use of a ram assist, and some improved steering geometry. It takes a little getting used to not beginning my turns where I would have, for the last 6 years in the same rig. But I start the cut later and turn on a tighter radius, and affectively achieve the same results,..then there is always the cutting brakes for the tighter stuff.
You should be right on the mark at 108", especialy for going vertical at Moab.
