Sorry I got to ask, I have searched and printed tons of engine swap info but is a 1" or 2" body lift needed or suggested when installing a 4.3 TBI in a 85 Runner?

Nope, fit mine just fine (96 4.3). Oh yeah, I still gots to send you some pics of mine. BTW, still looking for a ps box for ya, I'll keep you posted (unless of course you found one already). From what I understand you only need a BL for V8 swaps

Only reason I'm running a body lift is because I'm running the S10 manifolds. Too cheap to buy headers.

I have the stock manifolds on my 4.3 and it clears fine. Had a reputable exhaust shop do the work where they incorporated an exhaust donut in between the collector and the exhaust. Doesn't leak a bit, and I only spent $260.00 to get an entire exhaust system done.
