Hi Triangle Four Wheelers,

It seem as if the Johnstown club is not staging a Toys for Tots trailride this year, so Triangle Four Wheelers will step in and try to fill the void. So, here is the plan. Meeting place is McDonalds on route 22 in Blairsville at 10:00 AM on December 9. Price of admission for everyone attending is a childs toy. I will make arrangements to get the gifts to the Marine Corps Reserve unit in Johnstown.

We will be doing the powerline trail at Johnstown, entering at the trailhead just off Route 711 at Seward. We will do the powerline to the intersection with the gas line and part of the gas line. At many of you are aware, a portion of the gas line run has been closed so we will not be able to do a loop. At a point near the end of the open trail, we will turn around and retrace the route.

This trail is okay for stock and full size 4 x 4s. The only requirements are tow hooks and aggressive tires. This ride is open to guests, so please invite your four wheelin friends for a good ride and a good cause. As you may have heard, the Toys for Tots program is hurting for donations this year, so a good turnout for this event would be terrific.

Tim Kirby

I would like to go with you guys. But can I just meet you at the trail head where you are going up at. That is about 4 miles from my house. Blairsville is about 15 miles one way then I would have to backtrack back to the powerlines. Are you going to go in at sugar run by the powerplant? Where we came out at 2 years ago. Thanks

It is 85 miles and about 2 hour drive to Blairsville. It should be a fun run. I went 2 years ago and had blast. I had to work last year but I am off this time so I am planning on going

There is a new development regarding the Toys for Tots run that impacts you.
It seems that the Mudbabbies are sponsoring a Toys for Tots run. Just got an
email from them today. We (Triangle) will join their group. Here is the
information:

The ride is on for this Sunday, December 9th, 2001.

We will meet at the same location as in past years. That is behind the
"Eat-N-Park" on Scalp Avenue, in Johnstown (Richland).

We will begin collecting at 9:00am, and will head for the trails around
noon.

The requested donation is $20.00 or a new unwrapped toy equivalent.

I just wonder if I should go straight to jtown or you guys going to meet in Blairsville first then convoy up. I figure I got enough time either way but if your not stopping at McDees first I will just go stright to Jtown.
