looks very cool ... but you knew there would be a but in there huh .. i am not sure but wont the weight of it put strain on the the internal parts ie syncros ect ect ? i have always been taught not to rest your hand on the shifter and not to rest your foot on the clutch ...because it causes premature wear ..

actually I am one step ahead of ya alan, I filled it with helium and actually if it wasnt attached to the shifter it would float away!

no, but seriously folks we had concearns with the weight, but its not really That much, and its going is a 420. and, there is definately a "cool factor" to take into consideration

From what 69cruzer tells me, I guess "dumbies" are getting harder and harder to get. He says their are laws agaist selling them retail now caus some idiot modified one to work again and blew someone up.
but Im sure you could score one at a gun show. even though they have changed ALLOT in the last few years, there is still not allot you cant get at a gun show

It would make it a whole lot lighter if you pulled the pin !

Actually if you can get one of the new "baseball" style ones they are lighter.

That old "pineapple" style used those chunks of cast iron for the shrapnel, the newer ones used some kind of spring steel to do the damage. Much more wicked!

thanks for the tap fc. I almost got one of the newer ones, but didnt know if there would be enough material to tap without alot of mods, I also thought the pineapple ones look a little more *extreme* I dont think the weight will matter that much on a 420 when it only sees about 5 or 6 runs a year. but I have been wrong before
also you can get them in other states just getting harder in CA. but with ebay, its not too tough. You can also by the dummies mounted to a board with a complaint dept tag, but they want to much money for my cheap ass to pay.
