Can anyone give me advice on the pro's and con's of the XD9000 vs. the XD9000i? I'm going to use it on my cherokee. It won't see anything too extreme...maybe some light recovery in Moab now and then. Is the integrated solenoid better?

I don't think there's really any difference in performance. The only difference is you have an outboard solenoid module to mount.

The benefit of the non "i" model is it will block less of your air intake for the radiator. Don't know if it's an issue for you or not.

The benefit of the "i" model is that it is less installation work and kinda self contained.

I dont know why... but the i models have 125' of cable. while the the non i have 100'. atleast that is what it says in my WARN catalog.

I got the HS9500i. $775.

125' won't fit because of tie rod tie rod clearance.

I got the HS9500 (-i) because it is a lower profile than the i. Other than that I don't see much difference between an i or a -i.

The two bars on the non-"i" series winches are called tie rods.

I use the XD9000. That is only because I scored it at a garage sell BRAND NEW in the box for 125.00.:smokin: :D

Get an 8274. I love mine. Wouldn't want any other. Of coarse I got mine for free when I stole it off my dads truck :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
