Does this need to be retubed, or can I get a piece of tube, split longways, and weld pieces onto strengthen it?

What do I need to do with this - drive it or fix it?

.120 wall is nothing.... .188 wall is your friend. :D

Given what I'm seeing there...
1) Holy crap. How that hasn't collapsed already is beyond me.
2) No way that's salvageable.

Here's what I'm doing:

Fawk .120, that's for pussies. Go thick, .188 minimum. Cut it and sleeve it internally or externally if you're on the cheap. .120 will fold real easily, .188 and up you can sit and spin until something else fails.

Does this mean you broke your pinion or t-case outputs? I am curious to know:
a) how much more load is on your bearings (maybe not much due to it being a rotating mass)

b) does the tailshaft not breaking cause the pinion or t-case outputs to break?

the shaft pictured would only need a heavy clutch dump or something and it would be toast!
