I'm wondering if the $600/pair 35 spline outers at www.wagonermachine.com will work on the new Ford Ball joint 60's (with the unitized bearing setup)?

Is there a cheaper Ford 35 spline outer I could use?

Thanks!

cheaper one's are coming, should be available by febuary. I'll post when I know more.
They should be no more than $200 a pair too, so they're worth the wait.

A cheaper option is to use stock spicer 35 spliners. They are only cheaper if you can get your machaist friends to do the work. You can get the D70 outers cut a little off the end(for get how much) and mill out the lock out a little. But if you don't have the connections just wait for the $200 set to come out.

The Ford Ball Joint D60's dont use a unitized bearing setup....do they? Or are you talking about the dual wheel super duty D60?

Mine's out of a 93' and it's got balljoints...but minus the ball joints it's same as a kingpin 60.

When I said "newer" ball joint Ford D60's, I'm talking the 97-2002. They have a unitized bearing like the one Currie uses, and the outer axle is probably 3 inches shorter than the D70 outer.

Maybe it could be cut down and resplined?

It's actually a trick setup. All the new D50's in the F250, D60's in F350 and F450's run the same setup. The axles we pulled out of the 99' F250 didn't have any rust, except for the section in the knuckle that is exposed.

I'm still curious what the $200 outers consisted of? I mean, are they a whole new outer or what.

Thanks!
