stock alarm 2001 trooper

The wifes 2001 Trooper with the factory alarm has gone off now 3 or 4 times with nothing around to set it off. Anyone else have any problems with theirs? The last time I checked the battery and it was over 12.5 volts so I don't think its a low battery problem.

Many times something like this is stray voltage due to a bad ground somewhere in the electrical system...the trick is finding it, could be anywhere. Not too helpful I know, but there it is :rolleyes:

Check the rear door switch. This was a known issue on the Rodeo/Amigo, and you might have the same problem on your Trooper. Try spacing the switch out from the body with a washer.
