Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

My neighbor, Bob Riggle, owner and driver of the original Hemi Under Glass is ready to retire- this is his farewell tour in the Mid West. He's in the Ohio area for 3 more weekends- if you can, go see the big Hemi run. He will also be in Pamona, Ca. this fall for one last show on the west coast.

Bob drove the original car from 1966 until 1975, and brought back the wheel standing fun to tracks again in 1992 at the U.S. Nationals. He has since toured coast to coast and has performed twice at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, the second time this year at the 10th Anniversary.

At 70 years young HE STILL GET'S IT, turning 10.5 to 11.0 sec quarter mile times on two wheels. The original 1966 Cuda has a Hilborn alcohol injected hemi that produces 900+ HP, and his second car, a 1968 is running a 510 cubic inch aluminum block, blown, nitro fuel Hemi putting out about 1400 HP. This car will haze the tire the full length of the track! Both cars use open diffs and cutting brakes to get'm down the track.

Man, I love that car. I can't count the number of times that I have seen it run. Definately a legend.
