I just picked up a 1980 fj40 front end to install on my Dads 67 fj and was wondering if the drag link and tie rod are the same? I know I'm going to have to modify the pinion yolks ( use fine spline round ones and redrill for course spline pattern) but I got the main tie rod and the drag link with this front end and was wondering if it wil "plug right in" with out having to change up some steering parts.
Thanks, Rick

Rick-
Bolts right in. You could swap the end of the driveshaft or get another pinion flange to redrill. New fine spline naked round flanges are available (I can get them..). Steering stuff (rods) are all interchangeable.

Hey Rick D good to hear, I've got the flanges solved (I've got a round fine spline that I can redrill for coarse pattern and Tankota has one that I think he got from Jeff that we can redrill) I was just wondering about the steering links, thanks.
Mac, as Charlton Heston once put it...."you can pry this "frontend" from my cold, dead, hands. :p
I'll page ya Sunday.
