I was thinking about buying a newer Chevy or Dodge rig and want to flat tow it behind the motor home. I drag my TJ there now and was wondering if there were special things I need to consider before doing this.

The only other option was to keep the TJ and buy the truck anyway, but I don't need 3 rigs with 2 drivers. I don't drive to work anymore and they would both just sit for a week or more at a time.

Just the automatic transmission. (I'm a master of the obvious.)

I actually towed my ZR2 auto with my dodge. I let the zr2 idle to cool the transmission duing the 5 hour tow and didn't notice any ill effects. Laziness is my biggest motivator.
